And of course the prize for winning the Pacific Break competition was the chance to play at one of the biggest music festivals in the Pacific….. Fest’napuan in Port Vila, Vanuatu.
Reggae band, 26 Roots, from Espiritu Santo, were named winners of the competition, from entries across the Pacific.
Most of the band had never been on a plane before, let alone to the national capital. 26 Roots had never played for an audience of more than a thousand people.
Suddenly, with the first song they'd ever recorded, this group of childhood mates was on stage at a major music festival, performing before a crowd of 10,000 people.
