Karbal Noumea Ballet was formed by New Caledonian, Sthan Kabar-Louet, after a decade training as a dancer in Europe with the world acclaimed Bejart Ballet, under master choreographer, Maurice Bejart.

Sthan returned to his homeland to create the Karbal Noumea Ballet. Male and female dancers representing New Caledonia's various ethnic traditions make up the dance troupe. The choreography is a celebration of the country's diverse culture, drawing on contemporary and classical dance disciplines as well as the rhythm and energy of indigenous kanak traditions.

Here, Karbal Noumea Ballet performs at the tenth Festival of Pacific Arts in Pago Pago, American Samoa.
