New Zealand Samoan King Kapisi's debut album was the first hip hop album to go gold in New Zealand.

Raised as Bill Urale in Wellington, King Kapisi's songs address topics like the negative impacts of religion on Polynesian society and the experience of being a Samoan living in New Zealand.

Here he's performing to an American Samoan audience at the tenth Festival of Pacific Arts in Pago Pago.
