Presenters
Tania Nugent
Tania Nugent is a television presenter and producer with Australia Network. She began her TV career in Papua New Guinea, producing and presenting children's television programs for EMTV. Tania joined the Australian Broadcasting Corporation in 1994 to present the award winning education program Behind the News and has worked in children's and educational television ever since. She hosts the daily education show Nexus on Australia Network and has been involved in the program since its inception.

Tania is a Papua New Guinean, born in Port Moresby. Her mother is from Finschhafen in the Morobe Province and her father is an Aussie. She attended boarding school in Brisbane for five years, lived and worked in Port Moresby for three years, before moving to Australia for family and career opportunities.
Clement Paligaru
Clement Paligaru is a presenter of Radio Australia's popular interactive radio program "In the Loop". He has been working at the ABC for fifteen years and has reported extensively on the Pacific region during this period. This included a long stint as producer of Radio Australia's flagship Pacific Beat program.

An Indo-Fijian, Clement was born in Fiji and arrived in Australia as a teenager. On the eve of completing a Masters in Economics thesis about India's economic reforms, he left academia for a career in radio.

Today, he remains passionate about Australia's engagement with the Asia Pacific region. And he occasionally combines his knowledge of both regions to write for publications such as Lonely Planet's guidebooks.
Executive Producer
Bernadette Nunn
Bernadette Nunn is an occasional news presenter on Australia Network and has been a presenter and producer for the daily education show Nexus since the network started in 2001.

Bernadette started her career in newspapers before moving into television more than 20 years ago, first in country Victoria, then at Channel 10 in Melbourne where she was a newsreader and reporter. Bernadette has also presented news and the current affairs programs Asia Pacific and Pacific Beat for Radio Australia; reported for SBS TV; covered the Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur in 1998; and presented a weekly segment on a national farming program.

Bernadette is passionate about giving voice to people whose stories are rarely told on television, particularly people in rural areas. She is pleased to have the opportunity to shine the spotlight on the Pacific and to share the wealth of stories from the region with an international audience.
