14:41:54

Singapore has honoured the Australia Federal Police commissioner, Mick Keelty, for his efforts in fighting crime between the two countries.

The Distinguished Service Order is usually reserved for citizens of Singapore.

Singapore has recognised Commissioner Keelty for signing an agreement to fight transnational crime in 2005, undertaking a serious crime course in Singapore, and for his work with Singapore's Central Narcotic Bureau.

Mr Keelty will be presented with the award Friday.
