Insurgents kill at least five in Iraq attacks 27/04/2008
23:33:11

Security officials in Iraq say insurgents have killed at least five people in separate attacks, four of them in the capital Baghdad.

In one attack, a suicide bomber drove his car into a police patrol near central Baghdad's Al-Shaab stadium killing three people and wounding nine others.

In the Mansur district of West Baghdad, an Iraqi army officer has also been killed and six people have been wounded -- four of them soldiers -- when their patrol was struck by a roadside bomb.

Police say another Iraqi soldier was shot dead south of the northern oil city of Kirkuk as he was on his way to join his unit.
